OXFORD — William “Tyler” Adcock, 23, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2021.
Tyler was the son of William “Todd” Adcock and Terry Lovings Adcock, and spent most of his life in Oxford.
Tyler was a member of Oxford Baptist Church, where he was active in the Youth Group for many years. More recently he had been attending Celebrations Church in Oxford. He had a strong love for God and put his faith and trust in him. One of his favorite phrases was “Pray to God.”
Tyler attended J.F. Webb High School and was very active in sports. He was the quarterback on the football team, and he also excelled at lacrosse and on the wrestling mat.
He was a lover of anything that involved nature. The mountains were a special place for Tyler. It was a place where he found happiness and peace.
Tyler and his witty sense of humor will be missed by many. Although his life was not easy at times, the well-worn pages of his Bible show where he looked for comfort and peace.
A private graveside service will be held at Hester Baptist Church Cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Ryan Adcock; maternal grandparents, Robert and Betsy Lovings; paternal grandmother, Beth Adcock; one aunt, Cindy Lockwood (Chuck); two uncles, Curtis Lovings (Sandy) and Danny Lovings (Lisa); and many great-aunts, -uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Adcock.
The family will receive friends at their respective homes.
