HENDERSON — William Allred “Hootie” Rowland, 67, of Oxford Road, and formerly of Key Largo, Florida, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021. Born Dec. 20, 1953, in Vance County, he was the son of the late William Broadwell Rowland and Agnes Edwards Rowland.
He attended N.C. State University, where he was in the textile program and a member of Kappa Sigma. He worked at the TPC Myrtle Beach golf club and in the restaurant industry.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Fuller Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue.
He is survived by his brother, Alan Rowland and wife, Teresa of Henderson; his beloved dog, “Jax”; his aunt, Frances R. Roberts of Henderson; and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends following the service at Fuller Chapel Christian Church.
