During her high school years, she was an integral part of Oxford Baptist Church. While at J.F. Webb High School, she experienced much happiness through her various band activities. In her senior year, she was the drum major and received the John Phillip Sousa Award. Her summers were spent as a lifeguard.
After high school, she attended East Carolina University. She then received her RN degree from Vance Granville Community College.
She loved and cherished her children, Laura Grace and Riggan, spending countless hours reading to them.
In addition to her children, she is survived by her parents, Mike and Gail Warren of Oxford,; her sister and brother-in-law, Ashley and Lee Harrell of Oxford; her dear friend, Powell Fox of Oxford; her former husband, Stephen Tucker of Robersonville, her aunt, Brenda Gardziel, of Woodbridge, Virginia; as well as her niece and nephew and cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Annie Laura and Dave Ashworth of Oxford and James and Katherine Warren of Oxford.
Unfortunately, the last several years of her life, she endured chronic illness, with much pain and agony. Now, as the free spirit she always was, she is able to fly again.
