HENDERSON — Geraldine Williams Jordan, 87, of Henderson, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020.

Born in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Leon Williams and Martha Jane Phillips Williams. She was the widow of Billy Ray Jordan.

Geraldine retired from the city of Henderson, where she was a supervisor in the water and tax department. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

There will be a private family gathering at a later date.

Surviving are one daughter, Pat Combs (Sherman); one sister, Fay Deans; one brother, Larry Williams (Linda); one sister-in-law, Marie Williams; five nieces, Shannon Franks (Gary), Rainey Harper (John), Wanda Joyner, Lisa Stimson (Shawn) and Jennifer Edwards (Chris); and two nephews, James Deans (Donna) and Barry Williams (Michelle).

She is also survived by Lauren Williams (Zach), Wesley Deans (Abby), Emily Franks (Adam) and many other great-nieces and nephews; two great-great nieces, Avery and Emery Williams; and her beloved cat, Whitey.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Pete Williams.

The family would like to give a “Special Thank You” to Lauren and Zach Williams for the exceptional care that they gave to “Ger Ger.”

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Vance County Animal Shelter, 1243 Brodie Road, Henderson, NC 27537, or Ruin Creek Animal Protection, 165 U.S. 158 Bypass, Henderson, NC 27537.
