HENDERSON — Frances Ayscue Francis, 92, of Henderson, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at Maria Parham Health.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Owen Ira Ayscue and Bessie Mae Matthews Ayscue.
Mrs. Francis was retired from the former J.D. Mills Inc. and was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon and the Rev. Jeff Prewer.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty Roberson (Pilo) and Vicky Owen (Roger), and two sons, Gilbert W. Francis and Joe L. Francis (Angel); a sister, Virgie Prewer; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Roy Francis “Buddy”; a daughter, Pamela Ann F. Stevens; and five sisters and three brothers.
The family will receive friends at the home of Vicky Owen.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Woody Jr., Woodrow “Pinky” Boyd Jr., Sam Francis, Roger Owen Jr., David Beckwith Jr. and Jason Dickerson.
