YOUNGSVILLE — Deborah Yarborough “Debbie” Choplin, 65, of Youngsville, North Carolina, went home to Jesus on Sept. 21, 2021.

Debbie was born to the late Ellen Collier Yarborough and George Ruffin Yarborough Jr. in Henderson, North Carolina.

Debbie met her husband, Dennis Choplin, as high school sweethearts and recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. They have two children, Brandon Choplin and Stacey C. Chacon.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Debbie also enjoyed several hobbies including motorcycle rides with friends and family, Bible study groups, quilting and writing. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She was a faithful member of Richland Creek Community Church in Wake Forest, North Carolina, as well as the Christian Motorcyclists Association.

Debbie joins her parents and other family and friends who have preceded her in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; her brother, Donald Ray Yarborough; her son, Brandon; her daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Adam Chacon; and three grandchildren, Aiden, Alex and Ayla Chacon.

The family will greet friends at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, at Sossamon Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel., conducted by Lee Layfield and Jamie O’Brien. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens in Henderson, North Carolina.

Pallbearers will be Stewart Champion, Ken Fuhrer, Phil Lockhart, Thomas Piediscalzo, Gene Svoboda, Leighton Wingerd and Todd Owens.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, those planning to attend the service are asked to adhere to all CDC guidelines by wearing a face covering of some sort, and to practice social distancing.
