HENDERSON — A raid by Vance County Sheriff’s Office deputies Saturday ended with the arrest of a 30-year-old man who now stands accused of several drug crimes.
Sheriff Curtis Brame said deputies arrested Jerry Lee Lemay Jr. and charged him with possessing heroin, cocaine and marijuana with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a dwelling to deal in controlled substances.
Lemay was held pending a $55,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 23.
Brame’s announcement said deputies “also recovered” currency and firearms in the course of executing a search warrant at 485 Lemay Lane east of Henderson. His office was silent on the matter of whether the deputies recovered drugs.
This was a joint effort by the sheriff’s drug-enforcement and fugitive-apprehension units. The investigation is continuing.
