Eligibility requirements include IRS tax-exempt status under 501©3 or incorporated in North Carolina as a not-for-profit agency. GRANVILLE SCHOOL BOARD, The Granville County school board will meet on Monday, Aug. 1, at 6 p.m. at the Mary Potter Center of Education, 200 Taylor St., Oxford. BACK TO SCHOOL BASH, Join us to help the Granville Education Foundation make sure our Granville County students have all they need for a successful year of learning. Our goal is to FILL THE BUS!! A Granville County School bus will be at Warehouse Square in downtown Oxford off College Street to collect school supplies from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6. This will be a fun-filled day packed with activities for kids to celebrate going back to the classroom. BIKE SAFETY, The Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments and the Vance County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a Bike Safety Rodeo event for kids age 4-15 on Aug. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. at the Vance County Courthouse parking lot, 156 Church St., Henderson. As NCDOT Bicycle Helmet Initiative Recipients this year, the sheriff’s office will be giving away free bike helmets to all rodeo participants.
