John Bullock and other members of a Henderson Public Works Department crew had to contend with the rain and wind Hurricane Ian brought to the area as they repaired a water line along the U.S. 158 Bypass on Friday afternoon.

HENDERSON — With Hurricane Ian’s passing, cleanup and recovery efforts have begun.

County Emergency Operations recorded a high wind speed of 39 miles per hour, Director Brian Short explained. Between 1.5 and three inches of rain fell across the entire county.
