HENDERSON -- A scheduled matchup between the men’s basketball programs of Crossroads Christian and Woodlawn on Saturday was called off due to a positive COVID-19 test that surfaced within the latter school.

The case stemmed from an assistant coach on Woodlawn, which has forced the basketball program into quarantine. The assistant did not accompany the team to Kerr-Vance Academy on Friday evening, but had interacted with the players during the week, potentially exposing them.

KVA’s men’s basketball program, which sustained a 57-50 loss to Woodlawn on Friday, is not required to enact similar protocols unless a player or coach that made the trip to Henderson begins showing symptoms.

The next game on the CCS men’s basketball schedule will take place against Greenfield on Dec. 1, with KVA returning to action on the same day against St. Thomas More Academy.
