Kerr-Vance was eliminated Friday from the quarterfinals of the N.C. Independent School Athletic Association Class 1-A tournament, falling to No. 2 Wayne Country Day 6-3.

KVA finished 14-8 on the season.

“The girls took it to them,” said Spartans’ head coach Hilda Delbridge. “They got off to a slow start, but were real competitive. I’m proud of the girls. They had a great season individual-wise and team-wise. I appreciate all of the support from the school and the families.”
