Brame leads Faulkner, Branch by shot

Steven Brame is the leader at the Kerr Lake Invitational after shooting a one-under 71 on Saturday.

Brame, the 2012 champion, leads Daniel Faulkner and Delane Branch by one stroke.

Troy Haynes and Michael Reese, each locked on 75s, round out the top five.

Tournament director Tommy Overcash said the course played tough with 56 total birdies registered from the field of 70.

The 147-yard eighth hole wasn’t too tough for Warren Henderson; he aced it for the hole-in-one.

David Parrott leads the Senior Division with a 75 followed by Dan Kearson (78), Butch Gray (79) and Jerry Tucker (80).

Bill Bullock sits atop the super senior leaderboard on a 77; Dale Faulkner shot an 83 and Tom Phillips 84.

The final round of the two-day event is scheduled to start Sunday at 8:30 a.m. with the leaders teeing at approximately 12:30 p.m.
