Vikings find success at Orange

Northern Vance had a productive 3-A Big Eight Conference swim meet at Orange Thursday.

Cardinal Gibbons swept the boys and girls competitions, but several Vikings saw their times improve.

Bettering their previous marks were the Northern boys 200 medley relay team of Julian Perry, Stanton Parham, Brooks Falkner, and Tom McKoon along with the 400 free relay squad of Evan Lowery, Dakota Parrish, Clayton Harris, and McKoon.

McKoon bettered his regional consideration time in the 200 free and got a 100 free consideration time. Parham improved upon his 100 breast time, Falkner dropped eight seconds in his 100 free and Parrish bettered each one of his times.

Charlie Chiem dropped 18 seconds in his 500 free, just missing out on a regional consideration mark and Lowery and Harris broke 1 minute in the 100 free.

For the girls, Megan Andrews had a good run in the 50 free and bettered her consideration time in the 100 butterfly.

Madison Bobbitt easily surpassed her 500 free mark and Holly Hilliard got a regional consideration time in the 200 free. Gracie Mason also made a big improvement on her 100 free time.
