Prep Roundup: Warren County earns sixth straight win

The Warren County varsity boys basketball team improved to 7-1 in the 2-A Northern Carolina Conference and 14-4 overall Friday with a 64-49 win at home over Durham School of the Arts.

A.J. Alston led the Eagles with 14 points and Charlie Williams had 12. Tyler Thompson added 10 points and four rebounds for Warren County and Dyami Wortham tallied eight points and four boards.

The Eagles will go for their seventh consecutive win at South Granville on Tuesday.

Crossroads claims middle school championship

The Crossroads Christian middle school boys basketball team defeated Neuse Christian Friday to claim the Carolina Christian Conference regular season championship.

Cade Carlson led the Colts (14-3, 11-1) with 24 points and Noah Page finished with 12.

Next up for Crossroads is the league tournament.
