Learning continues for Northern netters in loss to Person

Northern Vance was ahead in four of its singles matches Wednesday against Person, but lost in each one and fell 7-2 overall to a strong Person team.

The Vikings are now 3-6 on the season.

“We continue to get better,” said Northern head coach Jeff Arthurs. “Now the next step is learning how to win those close matches.”

The Vikings’ two wins came in doubles with the teams of Rachel Riddle/Caroline Oakley and Jazman White/Blair Kimbrell earning victories.

Northern next faces Kerr-Vance Saturday morning at the KVA Classic.
