Southern Vance had four players reach double figures in Wednesday’s 80-67 Carolina Conference Tournament win at No. 2 Cardinal Gibbons.
The No. 3 Lady Raiders moved on to face No. 1 Chapel Hill (24-1) in the final Friday (6 p.m.) at Chapel Hill.

Breona Jones led Southern with 30 points and 11 assists. She was followed in scoring by Rashyda Burwell (15), Moesha Sneed (14) and Kiyanna Kearney (12).

Southern lost both regular season meetings to Gibbons.

Raider coach Amy Simpson said she tweaked the offense a little.

“We were feeling more confident with what we had to do,” said Simpson. “We were just pushing the ball, freeing up jump shooters.”

Simpson credited a small contingent of Raider fans that made the trip to Raleigh, including three cheerleaders, for pumping up her team.
“You could tell (the team) was into it,” said Simpson.

Southern advanced to the semifinals with a win Monday over Orange.
