Hicks named league Player of Year

J.F. Webb’s Isaiah Hicks has been named the 3-A Carolina Conference boys basketball Player of the Year.

Northern Vance received the Sportsmanship Award and Chapel Hill’s Tod Morgan was named Coach of the Year after his Tigers earned a share of the league title with Webb.

Hicks was joined on the All-Conference team by Webb teammates Tyrek Beverly, Mitron Terry and Devonte Williams. Stefan Cates and Bryan Smith were selected as honorable mention.

Northern and Southern Vance each had one representative on the All-Conference team. Le’Darius Brandon made it for the Vikings and Ty-Traveon Roberts was selected for the Raiders.

Northern’s Tavin Moore, Montel Clark and Kris Haywood were honorable mention selections as were Southern’s Reggie Hunter, Cameron Evans and Jamal Williams.
