Cary Academy proved a tough match up for Kerr-Vance’s varsity lacrosse team on Tuesday evening.

The Spartans could not match the speed and size of their foes in Cary in a 15-2 loss.

KVA did not break the scoring barrier until midway through the third quarter as Cary controlled the ball for much of the match.

Franklin Irvin put the Spartans on the scoreboard off of an assist from Troy Bickel with about five and a half minutes left in the third quarter. Bickel added his own unassisted goal just a few minutes later.

The Spartans return to action on Friday at Forsyth Country Day.
