The Kerr-Vance varsity tennis team dropped to 8-3 overall and 2-3 in the Eastern Plains Independent Conference Tuesday with an 8-1 loss to St. David’s.

KVA varsity volleyball falls in Raleigh

Kerr-Vance’s varsity volleyball team lost at St. David’s Tuesday in three sets, 16-25, 9-25, 7-25.

Leading the Spartans (9-3) were Bryles Cutts (three aces, 16 digs, four kills) and Hannah Faulkner (one ace, 15 digs, two kills).

Spartan JV volleyball gets win

The Kerr-Vance junior varsity volleyball team stayed unbeaten in Eastern Plains Independent Conference play with a 25-20, 25-17 win over St. David’s.

Leading KVA was Ashley Dickerson (three aces, eight digs, two assists, two kills), Cameron Rogers (seven aces, four digs, two kills), Kassidy Dickerson (five aces, 19 digs, one assist), and Sophia Naradzay (14 digs, two kills).

KVA JV soccer shuts out St. David’s

Kerr-Vance defeated St. David’s 3-0 in junior varsity soccer Tuesday.

Rafael Negron, Brian Himmel and Jared Hicks scored the goals. Hicks also added an assist.

Cam Pritchett recorded the clean sheet for the Spartans (4-5-1, 2-1-1), who visit Ridgecroft Friday.

KVA’s varsity lost 6-0.

HMS wins first soccer match

The Henderson Middle School soccer team opened its season with a 4-1 over Terrell Lane Middle School Tuesday.

Raiders sweep Durham School of the Arts

The Southern Vance varsity volleyball team swept Durham School of the Arts Tuesday, 25-17, 25-15, 25-6.

The Raiders recorded 45 team digs, 22 kills, 20 assists, 10 aces, and five blocks.

Southern, which improved to 5-3 in the 2-A Northern Carolina Conference, hosts Bunn Thursday.
