KVA tourney tips off Friday

The two-day Chick-fil-A Holiday Hoops Invitational begins Friday at Kerr-Vance. The tournament features the host Spartans, Crossroads Christian, Franklin Academy, and St. Thomas More Academy of Raleigh.

Play begins at 4 p.m. Friday with a girls matchup between Franklin Academy and St. Thomas More. The same schools meet again in boys action at 5:30 p.m.

KVA faces Crossroads (girls) at 7 p.m. with the boys contest between the Spartans and Colts to follow at 8:30 p.m.

The girls consolation game is scheduled for Saturday at noon with the boys to follow at 1:30 p.m. The girls championship game is slated for 3 p.m. and the boys for 4:30 p.m.
