Southern Vance’s 49 points last week at Northern Vance yielded a 15-point loss, but that was enough for a nine-point win Tuesday.

The Raiders held the Vikings to two points in the final 6:22.

Each team was scoreless for 2:14 until Shawn Henderson knocked down two free throws to put Southern up 42-39 with 2:29 left.

Each team had 20 turnovers and comparable shooting figures. Northern shot 50 percent at the foul line to Southern’s 45 percent and the Vikings shot 21 percent from 3-point range to the Raiders’ 18 percent.
