There's another Raider in the college record books.

Former Southern Vance pitcher Jordan Garrett became the career leader in strikeouts on Sunday for Western Carolina softball. Last month, Southern alum Shauna Terry set the career record in blocks for the Catamounts women's basketball team.

Tremanisha Taylor, Terry's classmate at Southern, also set a record last month at N.C. State. The redshirt junior broke the indoor track record in women's shot put, adding to the outdoor record she already owned.

Garrett needed four strikeouts going into Sunday's 1-0 loss to Fordham at the College of Charleston Tournament. The Western junior got seven in six innings of work and now holds the record with 386.

The Catamounts (0-5) lost all five games in the tourney and head back to South Carolina this weekend for a tournament at USC Upstate in Spartanburg.
