ECU guard Bowden suspended for punching UTEP player

East Carolina basketball doesn't often make the news and when it did Saturday, it was for all the wrong reasons.
The Pirates (12-7, 3-3 Conference USA) lost on a buzzer beater to UTEP and senior guard Shamarr Bowden was caught on video throwing punches at the Miners' Konner Tucker.
On Monday, ECU announced a one-game suspension for Bowden.
