Amid cloudy conditions and a second-half drizzle, the Vance Senior-Northern Vance alumni match concluded with another victory for the alums.

The event, which was the 15th in the series, ended with the former players winning 5-3.

Kevin Byrom (Class of 2010) opened the scoring at 2:43 on an assist from Joseph Falkner (2010).

At 8:29, George Hoyle (1988) got on the board on an assist by Byrom.

The alumni continued a hot pace as Raymond West (2013) knocked in a goal on a pass from Ethan Byrom (2013).

The second half opened with Kevin Byrom scoring his second goal unassisted early on.

The current Vikings tallied next on a goal from freshman Connor Pendergrass assisted by junior Jonathan Byrom.

Senior Reed Kimbrell added another shortly thereafter on an assist from Pendergrass.

The Vikings got closer as freshman Irving Cheluca scored unassisted late in the match.

Ben Mills (2000) finished off the current team with an unassisted goal in the closing seconds.

The alumni now have a record of 11 wins, one loss and two ties in the series.

Kevin Byrom was named the Outstanding Alumnus for his play and was presented a memento of the occasion.

Former coaches Tommy Farmer and David Hicks officiated the match.
