U.S. women's soccer team coming to Cary
The WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary is hosting an international soccer friendly between the U.S. Women's National Team and Switzerland Wednesday, Aug. 20.
The top-ranked Americans are preparing for 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers while No. 19 Switzerland has already clinched a spot in the tournament.
The U.S. women have played five times in Cary, but not since the Carolina RailHawks stadium capacity was expanded to 10,000.
The U.S. squad features several former UNC players including 2011 World Cup veterans Tobin Heath and Heather O'Reilly.
