Letter: Grateful for opportunity
To the editor:
As I have recently moved on to pursue other goals I do pause and look back on my reign as a contributing columnist at The Dispatch with fond memories.
And I’d surely be remiss if I didn’t publicly express my appreciation for such a phenomenal journey. Moreover, I have come to realize that every creative talent will always need a venue and that every journalist will need a reader.
Firstly, I am immensely grateful for the special opportunity afforded me to showcase my gift of writing. Secondly, I personally wish to thank my assistants Pat Marrow and Algie Brodnax, as well as the many fans and supporters, all of whom I owe a huge debt of gratitude.
Lastly, much thanks to former Dispatch publisher James Edwards, former editor Luke Horton and current publisher Alan Wooten. Obviously, without these men of vision, perhaps none of this would have been possible.
So as I remain humble while I continue to chase my dreams, I shall always cherish this experience as the one that gave me my start.
