Letter: Meeting yielded positive feedback
To the Editor:
Citizens that braved the cold weather on a recent Tuesday night and came out in support of their neighborhood and city are to be commended and thanked.
Our discussions were critical to finding out what the residents of the Flint Hill area felt were their most important needs and concerns. We, as elected officials, are given the responsibility of making decisions based on the needs of the city and its residents.
That definitely does not mean we are incapable of making these decisions. It simply means that we care enough about our citizens’ input to give them every opportunity to voice their needs and concerns.
Also, thank you to the area churches for their availability in hosting this community gathering.
When leaders lead down blind alleys, followers end up lost and confused. What better way to get a mission accomplished than for everyone to be an integral part of that mission.
