Letter: Production was a hit with children

To the editor:

The Southeastern Shakespeare Company is grateful for all the teachers and students who saw “Charlotte’s Web” at Louisburg College April 11.

I certainly appreciate the complimenting emails sent by several teachers who attended. I, too, agree the show was an exceptional production performed by the Theatre For Young People from UNC Greensboro. Also I want to compliment the young students attending on their excellent behavior. I was amazed at the attentiveness and concentration displayed by those young students who appeared enchanted and completely mesmerized by the magic of the production.

I know the students from the following schools in Vance and Franklin County had a wonderful time: Vance Charter School, Kerr-Vance Academy, Dabney Elementary, L.B. Yancey, Crossroads Christian, Victory Christian, Louisburg Elementary, Long Mill Elementary, Franklin Academy and Hope Christian Academy.

Next year in April of 2014, Southeastern Shakespeare Company will present “Frog and the Toad” for ages 3-5 and “The Ugly Duckling” for ages 6-10.
