Letter: He’ll be hard to replace

To the editor:

For the more than 20 years I have lived in Vance County, Irvin Robinson has been a part of everything good and worthy that the city of Henderson has supported.

His faithful participation in so many of the boards and agencies that work to make this a better place to live is equaled by few. His constant attention to the Crime Stoppers program, the neighborhood watches, his presence at Martin Luther King marches, his help with the festivals in the city from way back at Color Fest to the current car shows — the list goes on and on, and is remarkable.

Irvin Robinson has been an officer in the Henderson police force who has brought honor and respect to himself, his force and his community. None of us is indispensable, but Irvin Robinson will certain be missed and what he did will have to be done by a lot of other officers.

Well done, Irvin.
