Bobby L. Cunningham
OXFORD — Bobby “Bob” Lynn Cunningham, 82, formerly of Durham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Duke University Medical Center, with his family by his side.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a private pilot. He enjoyed restoring old tractors. He was a member of Yates Baptist Church in Durham and was a member of the Durham Lions Club for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammi C. Williams and husband Gary of Oxford; three grandchildren, Tyler and Morgan Williams of Oxford and Adam Cunningham of Apex; a brother, Joe Cunningham of Kentucky; and a sister, Sue Banks of Kentucky.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Loretta Cunningham and his son, David Cunningham.
A visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Eakes Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yates Baptist Church, 2819 Chapel Hill Road, Durham, NC 27707.

Ann G. Hall
GREER, S.C. — Ann Gragg Hall, formerly of Connelly Springs, passed away on Oct. 6, 2013.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Hall; son, Garry Church and wife Heather of Mooresville; father, Walter Gragg Sr.; sister, Kay Houston (Ken); brothers, Walter Gragg Jr. (Bernice), Robert Gragg (Patsy) and Scott Gragg; nieces, Lisa Moore, Melissa Critcher, Angel Cash and Haley Nichols; nephews, Kenny Houston and Marc Houston; and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Sarah Ingle Gragg.
Ann received a bachelor’s degree in education from Appalachian State University and a master’s degree from N.C. Central University. She worked as an educator for 36 years in North Carolina and Georgia, working with students with special needs. Throughout her career, she was involved with the Council for Exceptional Children, Delta Kappa Gamma, the ARC and Special Olympics. Ann was awarded the Council for Exceptional International Transition Teacher Award and the Vance County Teacher of the Year award. She is a former member of First Presbyterian Church in Henderson.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, her dogs and crafting.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Connely Springs.

Cora P. Hilliard
HENDERSON — Cora Lee Patterson Hilliard, 76, of 70 Raccoon Crossing, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Rex Hospital.
Born in Vance County on July 17, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Patterson and Golden Abbott Patterson.
She was a former dietary manager at the former Pine Haven Convalescent Center and was a member of Harriett Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tungsten Baptist Church by Rev. Sam Brewer and Pastor Will Breedlove. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Lee Hilliard of the home; one daughter, Teresa H. Brown and husband Charlie of Henderson; one granddaughter, Tiffany R. Brown of Henderson; three sisters, Betty Jean Pegram, JoAnn Williamson and Shirley Perkinson, all of Henderson; and two brothers, Tommy Patterson and Alton Patterson, both of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah P. Williamson.
The family will receive friends at the home, at 70 Raccoon Crossing.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Tom Hilliard, Robert Hilliard, Lawrence Hilliard, Thurman Hilliard, Charles “Charlie” Brown, David Nickels, Tommy Patterson and Alton Patterson.
