EMERSON, N.J. — Agnes Irene Burchette Evans, 91, of New Jersey, (formerly of Warren County) died Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Armenian Nursing Home in Emerson, N.J.
Funeral services will be conducted today, at noon, at Cooks Chapel Baptist Church in Warrenton. The Rev. Tony Cozart, pastor, will officiate and burial will follow in King Burchette Family Cemetery in Warrenton.
Survivors include: her daughter, Laverne Evans of Marietta, Ga.; her son, Allen Evans of Teaneck, N.J.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends today, from 11 a.m.-noon, at Cooks Chapel Baptist Church in Warrenton.

Christyne N. Marrow
OXFORD — Christyne Norwood Marrow, 76, a Granville County native and a resident of Universal Healthcare of Oxford, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Granville Medical Center in Oxford.
Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late James and Hattie Florence Smith Norwood. She joined Michael Creek Baptist Church at a very early age and remained a member until death.
She attended Granville County Public Schools and graduated from the former G.C. Shaw High School. She continued her education at Virginia State College, receiving her master’s degree.
Funeral services will be conducted today, at 11 a.m., at Michael Creek Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Wiley W. Robinson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Dr. Zeda Amaya of Coppell, Texas; one son, Rinnie Glass of Oxford; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The body was on view Friday, May 24, 2013, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., and will be on view again at the church one hour before the service. The family is receiving friends at the residence of Helen Hanks, 8035 Butner Road, Oxford, in the Stovall community.

Mable J. Ragland
HENDERSON — Mable Jones Ragland. 91, of 431 College St., Henderson, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson.
She was born April 27, 1922, in Vance County, to the late Ernest and Esther Jones and Lou Helen Mitchell.
She joined Big Ruin Creek Baptist Church at an early. Later, she was instrumental in starting Hughes Street Church of Christ in Henderson. There, she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years and remained a faithful member until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence T. Ragland; and a sister, Varah Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 26, 2013, at 3 p.m., at Spring Street Missionary Baptist Church, with Dr. Wesley Crews delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include: a daughter, Esther Lumpkin of Camden, N.J.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held today, from noon-5:30 p.m., at the funeral home and at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family is receiving friends at the residence.

HENDERSON — Charlie “Danks” Solomon, 72, of Henderson, died Monday, May 20, 2013.
Survivors include: four sisters, Elizabeth Williams of Henderson, Stella Carroll and Rosa Williams, both of Norlina, and Carrine Mitchell of Washington, D.C.; and two brothers, George Solomon and James Solomon, both of Henderson.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at noon, at Mitchell Baptist Church in Louisburg, with the Rev. Daniel Lilly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A viewing will take place Monday, May 27, 2013, from 3-7 p.m., at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.

CREEDMOOR — Edolia Walker, 64, a resident of 2783 Clifton Ave., Creedmoor, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at her home.
She was born to the parentage of the late Robley and Regina Mitchell.
Edolia received her formal education at Charles Drew High School in Eunice, Louisiana. She was a dietician and retired from St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nev.
Survivors include; her husband, Robert L. Walker Sr. of Opelousas, La.; two sons, Robert L. Walker Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev., and Charles R. Walker Sr. of Creedmoor; two daughters, Tracie M. Green of Creedmoor and Shalmeka L. Landis of Durham; one brother, Wilson Mitchell Sr.; five sisters, Loritha Cooper, Gustavia Ryles, Oreila Moore, Gloria Mitchell and Delores Pradd; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Viewing will be today, from 11 am.-6 p.m., at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013, at noon in the chapel.

HENDERSON — Terrie Lynn Williams died Friday, May 24, 2013.
Survivors include: her husband, Percy Lee Williams of Henderson, her mother, Barbara L. Blackly of Henderson; three children, Jennifer Ignatz, Tony Ignatz and Robert N. Medlin, all of Henderson; and 10 grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by a daughter, Christy Medlin.
