Norma H. Clopton

HENDERSON — Norma Jean Haithcock Clopton, 51, of 77 Clark Lane, died Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Duke University Medical Center.

Born in Warren County, she was the daughter of Norman Ivy Haithcock Jr. of Henderson and the late Mary Lucas Haithcock.

Mrs. Clopton was a homemaker and a member of The Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Cleveland Harrison and Capt. Rick Langley. Burial will follow in the Clopton Family Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, Michael Thomas “Mike” Clopton; seven daughters, Lesley Clopton, Lisa Clopton, Jamie Clopton, Ashley Ayers and husband Darrell, Heather Clopton and Megan Clopton, all of Henderson, and Tiffany Hanford of Burlington; three sons, Justin Mieir, Jeffrey Clopton and Aron Clopton, all of Henderson; three sisters, Ann H. Hamrick and husband James of Henderson, Martha H. Sirko and husband Jim of Mountain City, Tenn., and Marsha H. Pegram of Oxford; four step-brothers, Clinton Satterwhite of Stovall, Harvey Satterwhite Jr. and wife Myrtle of Franklinton, and Tony Weaver and Mark Weaver, both of Tampa, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and her mother- and father-in-law, Betty and Jimmy Lawrence of Henderson.

The family will receive friends today, April 5, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home of Betty and Jimmy Lawrence, 985 Southerland Mill Road, Henderson.

Members of the family will serve as active pallbearers.

Martha Hargrove

OXFORD — Martha Hargrove died Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Universal Health Care.

Arrangements will be announced by Garnes & Toney Funeral Home.

 

Robert L. Williams

WARRENTON — Robert L. Williams, 80, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Maria Parham Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 7, at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenton by Rev. Junious Debnam. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Viewing will be Sunday, April 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the chapel of Boyd’s Funeral Services in Warrenton.
