HENDERSON — Lucy Belle Daye, 84, a resident of Kerr Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Henderson, died Saturday. Feb. 23, 2013, at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson.

Arrangements will be announced by Davis-Royster Funeral Service.

Anita M. Hurtado

FRANKLINTON — Anita Martinez Hurtado, 93, a resident of 4102 Geneva Drive, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at her home.

Born July 26, 1919, in Mesa, Ariz., she was the daughter of the late Clemente Hurtado and Felesciana Martinez Hurtado.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at 1 p.m., at Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville by Pastor Richard Mills.

She is survived by two daughters, Romona Neal of Rock Hill, S.C., and Maria D’Amico of Franklinton; one son, Armando Annos of Phoenix, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Hurtado; and two daughters, Teresa Hurtado and Maria Lourdes Flores.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at Faith Baptist Church.

At other times they will be at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salesian Missions c/o Maria D’Amico, 4102 Geneva Drive, Franklinton, NC 27525.

Jimmy L. Jackson

STEM — Jimmy Lee Jackson, 63, a lifetime resident of Stem, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Duke Medical Center in Durham.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late Edward Lee “Slick” and Lucille Bullock Jackson, retired from Murdoch Center and a retired farmer.

He was most recently employed with The Herald Sun as a newspaper carrier and was a member of Geneva Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at 2 p.m., in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by the  Rev. Eddie Mauldin and the Rev. Jeff Prewer. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Gardens in Oxford.

Survivors include: his wife of 44 years, Shirley Ramsey Jackson of the home; a daughter, Wendy Jackson Boyd of Stem; a son, Jimmy L. Jackson Jr. of Oxford; and seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held in the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford today, from 7-8:30 p.m., and other times at the home.

VANCE COUNTY — Patricia Ann Royster, 58, a Vance County native, died Friday. Feb. 22, 2013, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

The family is receiving friends at 1126 Maple St., Henderson.
