Sharon L. Stone

HENDERSON — Sharon Lynn Stone, age 49, of Laurinburg, formerly of Henderson, passed away at her home Friday, April 5, 2013.

Sharon was born April 12, 1963, in Vance County, the loving daughter of Carl Stone and the late Joyce Pulley Stone. She moved to Laurinburg to attend St. Andrews Presbyterian College. After earning her degree, Sharon made Laurinburg her home.

Sharon is survived by her father, Carl Stone, and step-mother, Joyce of Henderson; her brother, Joel D. Stone of Kittrell; and two nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 3 p.m., at Union Chapel Methodist Church in Kittrell, with the Rev. Dennis Gossett officiating.

HENDERSON — Shirley Bullock, 54, of 677 Bloombury Road, Manson, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Maria Parham Medical Center of Henderson.

Cordell R. Greenway

OXFORD — Cordell Ray Greenway, 41, a resident of Greenway Road, Oxford, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Granville Medical Center in Oxford.

A native of Granville County, he was the son of Cordell H. Greenway and Cheryl Darlene Currin. He was of the Baptist faith and was employed in the heating and cooling business.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 2 p.m., in the Eakes Funeral Chapel by the Rev. David Hailey.

Burial will be in Hester Baptist Church Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by: his sons, Michael Greenway of Oxford, Joshua Cardwell of Sevierville, Tenn., and Nathaniel Greenway of Oxford; and his sisters, Ann Maddox of Wendell and Becky Morales of Climax.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013, from 12:30-1:45 p.m., prior to the funeral services at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.

Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting the Greenway family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cordell Greenway funeral fund.

Lillie B. Jones

HENDERSON — Lillie Bell Jones, 83, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson.

Born on May 11, 1929, in Warren County, she was daughter of the late Pete and Lillie Jones.

One son, Roy Jones, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 3 p.m., from the St. Stephen’s Missionary Baptist Church, located in the Inez community. The Rev. Junious M. Debnam, pastor, will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include: three daughters: Katherine Williams of the home, and Gertie and Yvonne of Warrenton; one son: Early of Louisburg; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Bessie Williams of Newark, N.J., and Annie Davis of Warrenton.

Jones may be viewed today, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., in the R.H. Greene Funeral Home Chapel; and at the church one hour prior to the service.

Naomi D. Jones

MAPLEWOOD, N.J. — Naomi Dunston Jones, 85, of Maplewood, N.J., (formerly of Warren County) died Sunday, April 14, 2013, in Maplewood, N.J.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 1 p.m., at Cooks Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenton. The Rev. Tony Cozart, pastor, will officiate and burial will follow in Dunson Family Home Place in Macon.

Survivors include: four daughters, Nyoka Gladys Jones-Lewis of Maplewood, N.J., Barbara Anile Jones-Barnes of Paterson, N.J., Doris Patricia Jones-Towns of Belle Mead, N.J., and Ella Carroll Jones-Towns of Warrenton; six grandchildren; eight-great grandchildren; and one sister, Ethel Tunstall of Baltimore, Md.

The family will receive relatives and friends today, from 5-7 p.m., at Boyd’s Funeral Services Chapel in Warrenton.
