Charles T. Ayscue
HENDERSON — Charles Thomas “Tommy” Ayscue, 89, of 1802 Tollie Weldon Road, Henderson (in the Epsom Community), died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at his home.
Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Perry Lee Ayscue and Mae Bartholomew Ayscue. He was the widower of Ruth Divers Ayscue.
Mr. Ayscue was a retired farmer. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, where he was an honorary lifetime deacon; and served many years as recording secretary and treasurer. He served 31 years on the Franklin County School Board at Epsom.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at 3 p.m., at New Bethel Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Jim Curtis. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are three daughters, Charlotte A. Peedin and husband, Jimmy, of Raleigh, Mary A. Roberson and husband, Dennis, of Epsom and Brenda A. Stovall of Oxford; five grandchildren, Steven Barna and wife, Heather, of Raleigh, Lee Roberson and wife, Sarah, of Greenville, Sidrick Roberson and wife, Jennifer, of Epsom, Daniel Stovall of Winston Salem, and Leigh Anne Stovall of Oxford; and four great-grandchildren, Isabella Barna, Meredith Roberson, Caleb Burnette and Lillian Roberson. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Perry Wilson Ayscue.
The family will receive friends today, from 7-8:30 p.m., at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home, 1802 Tollie Weldon Road, Henderson.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Steven Barna, Lee Roberson, Sidrick Roberson, Daniel Stovall, Leigh Anne Stovall, Randy Hayes, Jimmy Hoyle, Andy Hoyle, Caleb Burnette and Scott Ayscue.
Flowers will be accepted; or memorials may be made to New Bethel Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, c/o Debra Woodlief, 1149 Massenburg Road, Henderson, NC 27537.

Joseph C. Dickerson
HENDERSON — Joseph Calvin Dickerson, 63, of 729 A Southerland St., Henderson, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson.
He was born May 14, 1949 in Dallas County, Ala., to the late John C. Dickerson and Ernestine Powell. He was employed with the former J. P. Taylor Tobacco Company.
A graveside service will be held today, at 4 p.m., at Youngs Memorial Holy Church.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. — Funeral services for Cordelia Robinson of 19 Jersey Ave., Morristown, N.J., will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Calvary Baptist Church, Martin Luther King Blvd., Morristown, N.J.
She is survived by a son, Vernon Robinson of the home; two brothers, Woodrow Robinson of Purcellville, Va., and William Robinson of Oxford; and one sister, Louise Robinson of Oxford.
