Fallis O. Finch II
OXFORD — Fallis Owen “F.O.” Finch II, age 67, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at his home.
A Granville County native, he was the son of the late Fallis Owen Finch Sr. and wife, Evelyn Currin Finch.
“F.O.” was a member of Oxford Baptist Church. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He was founder of F.O. Insurance Agency in 1984. He was a member of Oxford Masonic Lodge No. 122 and past president of Granville County Shrine Club. As a member of Amran Temple, he founded the Amran Ragtop Unit and was a member of Raleigh Court No. 186 ROJ.
“F.O.” served as an integral part of the Oxford business community; and served as past president of the Downtown Economic Development Committee, past president of Granville County Chamber of Commerce, and past president of Vance-Granville Home Builder’s Association.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Oxford Baptist Church by Dr. Steven Bolton. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today, from 7-8:30 p.m., at the funeral home and at the other times at the home.
Surviving are his wife, Gaynelle White Finch; sons, Jason Douglas Finch (Julie Brooks) of Oxford and Fallis Owen Finch III, of Raleigh; brothers, The Honorable Daniel F. Finch (Jean) of Oxford and Phillip Currin Finch of Henderson; and two grandchildren, Brooks Owen Finch and Sarah Opal Finch.

Annie B. Kelly
HENDERSON — Mrs. Annie Grace Bagwell “Ann” Kelly, age 92, a former resident of 1632 Oxford Road, Henderson, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at a local nursing home.
Born Jan. 10, 1921, in Greenville County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Allen Thompson Bagwell and Annie Lee Bagwell. She was a homemaker, longtime member of First Baptist Church Henderson, the Dorothy Currin/Joy Sunday School Class and the Rosemont Garden Club.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church Henderson by the Rev. Dr. Ronald S. Cava and the Rev. Dr. Marion D. Lark. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
Mrs. Kelly is survived by her son, James K. “Jimmie” Kelly and wife, Deborah, of Henderson; a sister, Lucille B. Cunningham of Greenville, S.C.; a granddaughter, Kimberly K. Hedgepeth and husband, Gerry, of Henderson; a grandson, James Scott Kelly and wife, Cathy, of Wilmington; and seven great-grandchildren, Tucker Zeary Kelly, Mia Catherine Kelly, Sarah Scott Kelly, Lila Cate Kelly, Gerri Anna Hedgepeth, Ellie Grace Hedgepeth and Meri Clair Hedgepeth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Zeary K. “Z.K,” Kelly; and two brothers, Clyde Bagwell and Harold Bagwell.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday, from 10-11 a.m., in the parlor of First Baptist Church. At other times, they will be at the home of Jimmie and Deborah Kelly, 74 Terrace Ave., Henderson.
Serving as pall bearers will be Paul Daeke, Jimmy Barrier, H.E. Tyndall, Curtis Tyndall, Dave Arner, Troy Adams and Wayne Kinton.

Eugene E. Rudd
DURHAM — Mr. Eugene Elvin Rudd, 68, of Durham died on Saturday, May 4, 2013.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of Harold Elvin Rudd and Estelle Ray Rudd. He retired after 25 years of service from GTE as an installer/repairman. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church for 37 years. He loved his friends and his church family.
He is survived by his wife, Marie R. Rudd, who he married Aug. 17, 1965; two daughters, Regina R. Philpot of Durham and Lisa R. Hall and husband, Joey, of Puyallup, Wash.; two sisters, Katherine Mann and Ruby Williams, both of Durham; and six grandchildren, Quentin Philpot, Morgan Philpot, Trevor McCants, Marisa Lomas, Steven Lomas and Kariss Marie Hall.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Bible Baptist Church. The Rev. Greg Allison and the Rev. Jimmy Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

NORLINA — John Harvery Hunt, 81, of Norlina, died on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson.

Martha M. Mayo
KITTRELL — Martha “Mae” Malone Mayo, 62, of 242 Julie McKnight Road, Kittrell, died Friday, May 3, 2013.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Mary Lizzie Edgerton Malone.
She joined Concord Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where she remained a member until her death. She attended Vance County Public Schools and was a 1969 graduate of the former Henderson Institute High School.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Concord Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. S.E. Blalock. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Survivors include: her husband, Herman Mayo; one daughter, Shonda Malone; one grandchild; one sister, Mary Venable of Kittrell; and two brothers, Aaron B. Malone and Johnny Malone, both of Kittrell.
Body will be on view at the funeral home for the public today, from noon-7 p.m., and at the church one hour before the service.

Mary C. Mitchell
ROCKY MOUNT — Mary Ella Currin Mitchell, 87, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Nash Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount.
She was born in Oxford to the late Sidney Thomas Currin Sr. and Eloise Mayes Currin. She was preceded in death by brothers, Sidney T. Jr, Garland and J. Brent. Mitchell graduated from Oxford High School and Greensboro College. She resided in Weldon, where she retired from teaching home economics at Roanoke Rapids High School.
Mitchell regularly attended meetings of the Weldon Thursday Book Club. She frequently hosted and baked for celebrations of family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Elmwood Cemetery on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 3 p.m.
