Estelle E. Seaman

BURLINGTON — Mrs. Estelle E. Seaman, 101, a resident of Twin Lakes Retirement Community and former resident of Sunrise Avenue in Henderson, died at her residence on Sunday, June 16, 2013, at 11:15 p.m.

A native of Vance County, she was the wife of the late Rhineheardt Phillip William Seaman and the daughter of Robert A. Edwards and Laura Stegall Edwards, both deceased. She was a member of the First Congregational Christian Church, Rowland Street, Henderson, where she was a former choir member. Estelle was a former member of the Home Demonstration Club of Henderson and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, Laura Ann Fogleman and husband, Lacy, of Greensboro and Judy S. Holloway and husband, “Jim,” of Kannapolis; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Norwood Seaman; three brothers, George Edwards, Clarence Edwards and Ollie Edwards; and a sister, Lillian Stevenson.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Foley Chapel of Twin Lakes Community on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 10 a.m., with the family receiving friends immediately following the service.

The funeral services will be conducted at the First Congregational Christian Church in Henderson on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 3 p.m., by the Rev. George Williams, with the family receiving friends from 2:30 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Henderson.

Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Christian Church, 427 Rowland Street, Henderson, NC 27536.

Peggy T. Fisher

OXFORD — Peggy Jean Taylor Fisher, 78, died Monday, June 17, 2013, at Brantwood Nursing Home in Oxford.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor. Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the graveside service at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of choice.

OXFORD — Charles Allen Lane, 61, of Oxford, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m., today, June 18, 2013, at Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church by Rev. Bruce Brooks. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church, 4572 Antioch Road, Oxford, NC 27565.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 2 to 3 p.m., in the fellowship hall of the church.

Magnolia Watson

WARRENTON — Magnolia Watson, 60, of 750 No Bottom Road in Warrenton, died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 1 p.m., at Snow Hill Baptist Church in Warrenton. Rev. A.F. Horton will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
