James Cash Jr.

HENDERSON — James Cash Jr., 79, of 419 Birch Street, passed away and went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013.

Born Nov. 28, 1933, in Granville County, he was the son of the late James Samuel Cash Sr. and Juanita Champion Cash.

Mr. Cash retired after 35 years with Harriet & Henderson Yarns, Inc. He was a faithful member of South Henderson Church of God. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at South Henderson Church of God by Rev. Gary Harper. Burial will follow in the Stovall Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Janet Hale Cash; a daughter, Tammy C. Resendiz and husband Carlos of Kittrell; two sons, Robert C. Cash and wife Anne of Rocky Mount and Lee Roy Allgood and wife Crystal of Henderson; a sister, Mary Lee Longmire of Raleigh; four brothers, Randy Cash of Henderson, Roy Cash of Rocky Mount, William Cash of Henderson and Howard Cash of Henderson; and five grandchildren, Tiffany Allgood, Brandon Allgood, Jacob Cash, Samantha Cash and Gabriela Resendiz.

He was preceded in death by two sons, James Samuel Cash and James Dolyoun Cash.

The family will receive friends at the home, 419 Birch Street, Henderson.

Serving as active pallbearers will be William Cash, Roy Cash, Randy Cash, Dolan Lawrence, Chris Mann, Randy Cash Jr., Allen Cash and Ricky Reynolds.

Arrangements are by Flowers Funeral Home.

HENDERSON — Queen Elizabeth Robinson Mason, 57, of 550 West Andrews Ave., died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Maria Parham Medical Center.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at New Beginning Ministries. Interment will follow in Blacknall Cemetery.

Viewing will be today, Oct. 24, from noon to 6 p.m. at Davis-Royster Funeral Service and at the church for one hour prior to the service.
