Christine A. Williams
HENDERSON — Christine Fenner “Cricket” Ayscue Williams, 78, of 672 Garrett Road, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, in Grimesland.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late David Lee and Val Journigan Ayscue. She was the widow of James Lee Williams.
Mrs. Williams was a retired dealer for Stanley Home Products and was a former owner and operator of Williams Mobile Home Park. She was a member of Freedom Life Church of God and recently attended Eastside Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, attending church and listening to gospel music.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Eastside Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Aubrey Florence and the Rev. Jeff Prewer. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
Surviving are three daughters, Brenda W. Aiken and husband Coy of Henderson, Judy W. Parrish and husband Louis “Bo” of Grimesland, and Kathryn W. Tant of Henderson; three sons, James Lee Williams Jr. and wife Carolyn, Mike Williams and Donald Ray Williams, all of Henderson; four sisters, Helen A. Parham of Henderson, Pauline A. Rigsbee of Durham, Jane A. Arnold of Henderson and Neta Mae A. White of Henderson; two brothers, William Henry Ayscue and wife Pamela and Buck Ayscue, all of Henderson; 13 grandchildren, Rodney Aiken, Jamie Aiken, Jason Parrish, Lela Gillin, Mark Collier Jr., Jim Tant, Christie Tant, Michael Tant, Joshua Williams, Julie Phelps, Jonathan Williams, April Humphries and Amanda Williams; and 22 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Ayscue and Hubert Ayscue, and two great-grandchildren, Lyndsey Tant and Hailey Collier.
The family will receive friends today, Aug. 20, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home of James and Carolyn Williams, 419 Lightwood Way, Henderson.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Mark Collier Jr., Rodney Aiken, Jamie Aiken, Joshua Williams, Jason Parrish, Michael Tant and Brandon Aiken.
Arrangements are by Flowers Funeral Home.

HENDERSON — Dustina Jean Leco Murillo, 32, of 78 Pine Cone Lane, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at Maria Parham Medical Center.
The family is receiving friends at the residence.
