Frances D. Pulley

HENDERSON — Frances Daniel Pulley, 86, a resident of 76 Terrace Ave., Henderson, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at her home.

Born in Granville County on April 1, 1927, she was the daughter of the late George W. Daniel and Blanche Tingen Daniel, and was the widow of Louis E. Pulley. Mrs. Pullley was a member of First Congregational Christian Church.
Entombment graveside services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Sunset Gardens by Pastor Will Breedlove.

She is survived by one son, Danny Pulley of Henderson; one daughter, Barbara P. Kovalchik and husband, Carl, of Kittrell; one granddaughter, Mindy Newport and husband, Scott, of Carolina Lakes; and one great-grandson, Jackson Newport; and her nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends at her home at 76 Terrace Ave.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Vance County Relay For Life, PO Box 914 Henderson, NC 27536.

The family would like to thank the staff of Community Home Care and Hospice, and especially to Dr. Drake, Dorothy, Monica, Nikkie and Shirley for the loving care they provided her.

Ada J. Dailey

HENDERSON — Ada Jean Dailey, 91, a resident of Warren Hills Personal Care and Nursing Facilities in Warrenton, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Josiah Jeffreys and Lillie Crews Jeffreys.

She is survived by a sister, Beatrice Hargrove of Brown Mill, N.J.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 1 p.m., at Morning Star United Holy Church by Elder Shirley Piercy. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Viewing will begin today, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home in Oxford.

The family will receive visitors at the residence of Dorothy Miller, 706 Daniel St., Henderson.


Shirley G. Evans

DURHAM — Shirley Green Evans, 75, a resident and native of Granville County, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Duke University Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Willie Lee Green and Annie Lee Vass Green. She was a former employee of UNC Hospitals.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Blue of Hurdle Mills; three sisters, Henrietta Taylor, Joyce Green and Gloria Bridges, all of Oxford; four brothers, Charles Green of Kittrell, James Green of Oxford, and Phillip Green and Cecil Green, both of Durham; and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Penn Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev. Willie S. Darby. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.

Viewing will begin Saturday, April 6, 2013, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors at the residence of Gloria Bridges, 306 Person St., Oxford.


Estelle Jefferson Terry

HENDERSON — Estelle Jefferson Terry, 66, of 501 Red Clay Lane, Henderson, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at her residence.

The family is receiving friends at the residence.
