Audrey A. Collins
HENDERSON — Audrey Ann Collins, formerly of Parham Street, Henderson, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at a local nursing home.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Clifton Lee Collins Sr. and Lucy Stanton Collins.
She was a member of Harriett Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Flowers Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. David Barnett and the Rev. Will Breedlove. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
Surviving are two sisters, Margie Hendley of Henderson and Betty Cornell of Richmond, Va.; and a brother, Clifton L. Collins Jr. of Alma, Wis. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Rachel Jones, Virginia Schuster and Josephine Collins.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, from 1-2 p.m., at Flowers Funeral Home.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Jeff Jones, Kim Jones, Chris Chance, Joseph Nelson, Nathan Nelson, Steve Schandel and David Reynolds.
Arrangements are by Flowers Funeral Home.
Marvin W. Harp
HENDERSON — Marvin Wheeler Harp, 77, a resident of 2925 North Lynnbank Road, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson.
Born Nov. 8, 1935, in Vance County, he was the son of Genie Marvin Harp and Jamie Grissom Harp. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of Fuller Chapel United Church of Christ and was retired from Harriett and Henderson Yarns.
A graveside service will be held today, at 2 p.m., at Fuller Chapel United Church of Christ Cemetery, 1470 N. Lynnbank Road, Henderson, conducted by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Harp of the home; two sons, Donald Ray Harp of Henderson and Marvin Joel Harp of Norlina; two sisters, Edna H. King and Frances H. Roberson, both of Henderson; two brothers, Alton Harp and Hartwell Harp, also of Henderson; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of Fuller Chapel United Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fuller Chapel United Church of Christ Building Fund, c/o Dolores Grissom, 140 East Main St. Kittrell, NC 27544.

OXFORD — Queen Ragland, 83, a resident of 8148 Charlie Stovall Road, Oxford, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at her home.
She was born to the parentage of the late George W. and Maggie Royster Green.
Queen was educated in the Granville County School System and was a former employee of J. F. D. Electronics, General Processors and Oxford Manor Nursing Home before retiring. She was a member of Vernon Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include; four sons, Lonnie Ragland Jr. and Wesley L. Ragland, both of Oxford, Roger L. Ragland Sr. of Baltimore, Md., and Tony Winstead of Durham; three daughters, Pearline Ragland of Roxboro, and the Rev. Annie M. Ragland and Bettie R. Faulkner, both of Oxford; one brother, George W. Green Jr. of Oxford; two sisters, Madeline Ragland of Oxford and Iquesta McEachern of Durham; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Vernon Hill Baptist Church with a eulogy delivered by the Rev. Ollie Ellison. Interment will follow in the St. Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery.
Viewing will be today, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends today, from 7-8 p.m., and other times at the home.

Ronnie A. Talley
HENDERSON — Ronnie Allen Talley, 50, of 316 Chavasse Ave., Henderson, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Duke Medical Center, Durham.
The family is receiving friends at the residence.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis-Royster Funeral Service.
WARRENTON — James Wilson, 92, of 1143 No Bottom Road in Warrenton died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by Boyd’s Funeral Services in Warrenton.
