Johnny B. Hodge Jr.
GREENSBORO — Dr. Johnny Baxter Hodge Jr. was born July 17, 1939, in Henderson. He was the only child of the late Johnnie B. Hodge Sr. and Hattie Terry Hodge. Dr. Hodge was raised by his loving paternal grandparents, the late George and Lessie Hodge of Henderson. Dr. Hodge passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, May 5, 2013.
Dr. Johnny B. Hodge Jr. leaves behind many loving friends, family, and former students. He is survived by his two daughters, Ms. Tia Hodge Powell and Mrs. Nikki Hodge Caldwell (Otis, O.J.), both of Greensboro; and one son, Dr. John Walter Hodge (Richelle Byrd) of Hampton, Va.; seven grandchildren: Phillip Jr. (P.J.) and Johnny, Brenda, Otis III (Tre), Nicholas, Matthew and Courtney, all of Greensboro.
The memorial service for Dr. Hodge will be Sunday, May 12, 2013, at 5 p.m., at Richard B. Harrison Auditorium on the campus of N.C. A&T State University. The funeral will be Monday, May 13, 2013, at noon, at Richard B. Harrison Auditorium on the campus of N.C. A&T State University. Family visitation will begin at 11 a.m.

Maggie A. Woodall
CHAPEL HILL — Maggie Adaline Woodall, infant daughter of Bert and Lesley Woodall of Durham, was born Thursday, May 2, 2013, and passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013, at the N.C. Children’s Hospital in Chapel Hill.
In addition to her parents, Maggie is survived by her brother, Caleb Woodall, and sister, Ella Woodall. Maggie was the granddaughter of Charles and Ann Woodall of Henderson and Bob Garwood of Advance. Maggie was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Bette Garwood.
A memorial service for Maggie will take place today, at 11 a.m., at Triangle Presbyterian Church, 5001 Tudor Place in Durham.

Dennis A. Morgan Sr.
WISE — Dennis Arnold Morgan Sr., 67, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at his residence.
He was a Henderson native, born to the late Clyde Francis and Adele Cabal Morgan. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Cortland Noel “Buddy” Morgan, and his sister, Frances Anette Yates.
Dennis was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was employed at Harriett-Henderson, Swain Suppy and Cottrell’s Furniture.
The Rev. Gary Bateman will conduct memorial services at 2 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2013, at Blaylock Funeral Home.
He is survived by his children, Dennis Arnold Morgan Jr., Anthony Cahal Morgan and Melody Morgan Vaughan; his sister, Charlene M. Hamme; two brothers, Charles W. Morgan and Clyde F. “Sonny” Morgan; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will meet at Charlene Hamme’s residence, 151 Belle St., Henderson, from 7-9 p.m., Sunday, May 12, 2013, and prior to the funeral service, from 1-2 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2013, at Blaylock Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at blaylockfh.com.
