Calvin D. Mills
HENDERSON — Calvin Doral “Swift” Mills, 23, of 155 Computer Lane, Henderson, died Sunday, April 28, 2013.
Funeral services will be conducted today, at 11 a.m., at Flat Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. William Everett. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In addition to his parents, survivors include: one daughter, N’yasia Terry; four brothers, Justin Warring, Jason Warring, Maurice Marrow and Kenny Burton, two sisters, Shannon Bottoms and Heather Warring; his stepfather, John Epps; and grandmother, Oneida Williams.
Funeral arrangements are by Davis-Royster Funeral Service.
Theresa A. Bowden
HENDERSON — Theresa Ann Bowden, 62, a resident of 322 Cedar St., Henderson, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson.
Born in Vance County on Sept. 15, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Lee Roy Bowden Jr. and Jewel Jeanette Delebridge Bowden Russ. She was employed as a supervisor for Phillips Optimum Lighting Company.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 5, 2013, at 3 p.m., at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Tim Burgess.
She is survived by one sister, Yvonne Bowden Vick of Henderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Lee “Mickey” Bowden.
The family will receive friends Sunday, prior to the service, from l-2:30 p.m., at J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of Yvonne Vick at 2745 Stewart Farm Road, Henderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 914, Henderson, NC 27536.

Deborah J. Carey
CREEDMOOR — Deborah Jo Carey, 52, a longtime resident of Granville County, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in an automobile accident.
A native of Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Susie Walston Carey. She was of the Christian faith and a retired hairdresser.
Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, May 5, 2013, at 2 p.m., at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by the Pastor Tracy Carey.
Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Brogden of Louisburg; a son, Tommy D. Brogden Jr. of Stem; two sisters, Lillian Johnson of Stem and Mary Tunstall of Apex; and three brothers, Seth Carey and Tyrone Carey, both of Stem, and Keith Carey of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by sisters, Sue Phillips and Ilene Daniels; brothers, Eugene Carey Jr. and Stevie Carey; and one grandson.
Visitation will take place Sunday, May 5, 2013, from 1-2 p.m., prior to the memorial service in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor.
Potted plants will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.

HENDERSON — Marlene Long, 79, of Norlina, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson.
A public viewing will be held today, from 4-6 p.m., at Boyd’s Funeral Services Chapel in Warrenton.
Survivors include one daughter, Viola Long of Norlina; four grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; four sisters, Hattie Hawkins of New Jersey, Nettie Lilly of Brooklyn, N.Y., Cleo Williams of Long Island, N.Y., and Mary Smith of South Carolina; and two brothers, Roosevelt Hawkins of Bronx, N.Y., and Samuel Hawkins of Brooklyn, N.Y.
