Audrey A. Ayscue

HENDERSON — Audrey Lane Ayscue Ayscue, 80, formerly of Kirby Lane, Henderson, died Monday, June 24, 2013, at a local nursing home.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Buck Bryant Ayscue and Fannie Ayscue Ayscue. She was the widow of David Jackson Ayscue.

Mrs. Ayscue was a retired employee of Lauren’s Glass. She was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Blessed Hope Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Donald A. Perkinson. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Surviving are four sons, Ronnie Ayscue and wife, Kathy, David Ayscue, Randy Ayscue and wife, Judy, and Kirby Ayscue and wife, Lisa, all of Henderson; two sisters, Bonnie Spraggins and Dot Beckham, both of Henderson; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Ayscue; a sister, Betty McGhee; and four brothers, Charles “Nucky” Ayscue, Bryant Ayscue, Tom Ray Ayscue and Larry Ayscue.

The family will receive friends today, June 25, 2013, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home of Randy and Judy Ayscue, 5796 N.C. 39 South, Henderson.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Brandon Ayscue, Brad Ayscue, Jay Matthews, T.T. Beckham, Jerry Spraggins, Derrick Spraggins, Bobby Ayscue and Edward Ayscue.

Arrangements are by Flowers Funeral Home.

Nannie L. Carroll

HENDERSON — Nannie Lou Carroll of 1333 Stewart Farm Road, Henderson, died Sunday, June 23, 2013, at her home.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Carroll and Bertha Champion Carroll.

Ms. Carroll was a member of Dickie’s Grove Baptist Church.

A memorial service was held Monday, June 24, 2013, at 4 p.m., at Carey Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Al James. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

The family received friends immediately following the service. All other times they will be at the home.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Carey Baptist Church, Children’s Ministries, P.O. Box 637, Henderson, NC 27536.

HENDERSON — Diana Lynn Newcomb Tanner, 66, of 1176 Community House Road, Oxford, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
