Mary T. Riggan
KITTRELL — Mary Ann Tant Riggan, age 79, a resident of 3207 Egypt Mountain Road, died Friday, July 4, 2014, in a local nursing home.
Born in Franklin County on Oct. 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late James Atlas Tant and Vall Beal Tant.
Mary was a retired health care technician at Murdoch Center in Butner and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Spring Hope.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Sam Brewer. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Riggan of the home; four sons, Curtis Lee Tant Sr. of Youngsville, Joseph Avon Wilson of Henderson and Shelton Ray Wilson of Townsville and Andrew Earl Riggan Jr. of Atlantic Beach; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Riggan of Fuquay Varina; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 – 8:30 p.m. Monday at J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home, 3207 Egypt Mountain Road.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Joseph Wilson, Jason Wilson, Tyler Riggan, Mike Riggan, Nick Cornish and Duane Pernell.

Sarah E. Lockett
OXFORD — Sarah E. Lockett, 81, a resident of 224 New College St., died Thursday, July, 2, 2014, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
She was the daughter of the late Jake Lockett and Landora Reed Lockett.
She was a member of the St. Peters United Methodist Church, served on the usher board and kitchen committee, and was a graduate of Mary Potter High School.
Survivors include a son, David Reed; three sisters, Hattie Blalock, Landora Downey and Mary Carroll, all of Oxford; four brothers, Fred Lockett, George Lockett Sr., Randolph Lockett and William Lockett, all of Oxford; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at St. Peters United Methodist Church by the Rev. Walter McLeod. Burial will follow in the Cheatham cemetery.
Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, July 7, at Betts and Son Funeral Homes Inc.
Rebecca F. Aiken
HENDERSON — Rebecca Ann Felts Aiken, 78, of 240 Gun Club Road, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at her home.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Ira Griffith and Dora Virginia Abbott Felts.
Mrs. Aiken was a retired employee of Americal Inc. She was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church and served as a volunteer at Maria Parham Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, at Poplar Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Tony Evans.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Aiken Mazus and husband Steve of Henderson; two sons, Forrest Lafayette Aiken Jr. of Hurdle Mills and Ronald Keith Aiken of the home; and two grandchildren, Katelyn P. Stainback and Andrew R. Stainback. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry G. Felts.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of Poplar Creek Baptist Church. All other times, they will be at the home, 240 Gun Club Road.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Poplar Creek Baptist Church, 1371 Poplar Creek Road, Henderson, NC 27537.

HENDERSON — Gina Vernita Jones, 32, of 913 Vanco Mill Road, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Maria Parham Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, in the chapel of Davis-Royster Funeral Service.
Interment will follow in the Welcome Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Viewing will be held from noon to 6 p.m. on Monday, July 7, in the chapel of Davis-Royster Funeral Service.
The family will receive friends at 503 N. Chavis Road, Kittrell.
