Gladys W. Henderson
OXFORD — Gladys Wade Henderson, age 80, of 300 Hunter’s Road, Oxford, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at her home.
A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of Malcom Bright Wade and Lula Mae Morrison. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She was a nurse and retired from the Vance County Health Department Gladys and James were married 55 years, their love grew deeper over the years. She was preceded in death 17 days earlier by her husband James.
She was the loving mother of Bryant of Oxford, Patricia (Jim) London of Los Angeles and George (Priscilla) of Kittrell; grandmother of Jimmy, Sara, Kate, James, Tracle (Brian), Chris, Nicole, Patricia (Norwood), Jennifer and Michelle (Carrie); and great-grandmother of Kyrah, Frederick, Vincent, Alexander, Annabella, Giulianna, Phoebe and Aiden. James W. Currin was a special friend to James and Gladys.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Louise, Beatrice and Doris; and brothers, Malcolm Bryant “M.B.” and Jack.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Salem United Methodist Church by the Rev. Alan Felton and the Rev. John Yount.
Burial services for James and Gladys will follow in Sunset Gardens in Henderson with Military Rites for James.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Salem United Methodist Church.

Clarence W. Watley
NORLINA — Clarence Walter Watley, 69, of 107 Brown Circle, Norlina, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh.
Family will receive friends at the residence.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Davis-Royster Funeral Service.
Antonio M. Wilkerson Jr.
OXFORD — Antonio “T.J.” Maurice Wilkerson Jr., 19, a resident of 4050 Richard Lane, Oxford, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at the UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Wilkerson was a member of the Ilong Baptist Church and was a 2011 graduate of J.F. Webb High School.
Survivors include: his mother, Tanya Mosely; his father, Antonio Wilkerson Sr.; and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be conducted today, at 1:30 p.m., at lIong Baptist Church with a eulogy delivered by the Rev. James Lawson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Services are by Betts and Son Funeral Home in Oxford.
