Nicholas P. Epanchin

HENDERSON — Nicholas Paul Epanchin, age 23, a resident of 155 Lakeview Drive, died Saturday, April 26, 2014.

Born in Durham on June 1, 1990, he was the son of Paul Vladimir Epanchin and Barbara Brantley Epanchin of the home.

He was employed at Vescom as a shipping agent and was a student at Vance-Granville Community College.

Nick had a love and passion for the sport of hockey and was a member of the Fury hockey team in Apex. Nick was a valuable and contributing member of his team and was instrumental in their winning the league championship last year.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by the Rev. Bruce Copeland and James Stainback.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Jon Paul Epanchin of Wilmington; and his maternal grandmother, Alta K. Brantley of Henderson.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 1, and Friday, May 2, from noon to 9 p.m. and following the service on Saturday, May 3, at the home, 155 Lakeview Drive, Henderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nick’s memory to Triangle Special Hockey Association, Inc., Att: J.V. Cotterell, 434 Fincastle Drive, Raleigh, NC 27607.

George T. Perry

HENDERSON — George Thomas Perry entered into eternal rest on April 28, 2014, in the University of Maryland Medical Center.

The son of the late Tollie and Rebecca Kelly Perry, he was born Feb. 20, 1946, in Warren County.

He was an independent truck driver for 44 years.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Elizabeth Hawkins Perry; two daughters, Jacqueline P. Marrow and Erica N. Perry; two sons, Georgie T. Perry and Cornell T. Perry; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Helen P. Harris; and one brother, Paul H. Perry. In addition, three nieces, one nephew and several cousins survived him.

Andrew Perry preceded him in death.

All funeral services will be private.

CREEDMOOR — Furney Green Boone Jr., 87, died Monday, April 29, 2014, at his home.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in the chapel of Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford by the Rev. Eddie Nutt. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Precious Henderson

WILMINGTON, Del. — Precious Henderson, 91, formerly of Warren County, N.C., died Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at the Spring Green Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, N.C., by the Rev. Sadie Woolford.
