Salonia H. Hilliard
CLARKSVILLE, Va. — Salonia Hargrove Hilliard, 75, of Clarksville, Virginia, entered eternal rest Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.
Mrs. Hilliard was born in Vance County, on Sept. 14, 1938, to the late Willis Hargrove and Elizabeth Henderson. She was a former member of Oak Level United Church of Christ, later joining Amazing Bibleway Apostolic Church in Buffalo Junction, Virginia, where she served as mother of the church and as a missionary and trustee.
Cherishing her memories are her husband, Linwood Hilliard Sr. of Clarksville, Virginia; one son, Linwood Hilliard Jr. (Tonya) of Alton, Virginia; three daughters, Gayle Mills (Steve) of Buffalo Junction, Virginia, and Mary H. Gregory and Barbara Hart (Pernell), both of Clarksville, Virginia; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Lucy Mitchell of Dabney, Agnes Neal (John) of Henderson, Doris Daniel of Brooklyn, New York, Ella Hilliard (Randolph) of Williamsboro and Evia Mae Terry (Woodrow) of Townsville; four brothers, Leon Hargrove (Geraldine) of Middleburg, and Willie B. Hargrove, Vernon Hargrove and Marvin Hargrove (Mary), all of Williamsboro; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Salonia Hargrove Hilliard will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Amazing Bibleway Apostolic Church in Buffalo Junction, Virginia, with Bishop Ray T. Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Public viewing for family and friends will be held today, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

HENDERSON — Andrew Lee Evans, 74, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Duke Medical Center.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, in the chapel of E.C. Terry’s Funeral and Cremation Services by Pastor Mike Smith.
Viewing is today, May 31, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

HENDERSON — Denise Moulden, 60, of 633 Hillside Ave., died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Kerr Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

DURHAM — Raymond Neely Jr., 17, formerly of Warren County, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Hock Family Pavilion.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, in the chapel of Boyd’s Funeral Services in Warrenton. Burial will follow in the King Burchette Family Cemetery in Warrenton.

HENDERSON — Ralph Small, 87, of 209 Tungsten Mine Road, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at his residence.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Island Hill Christian Church Cemetery.
Viewing is today, May 31, from noon to 5 p.m. in the chapel of Davis-Royster Funeral Service and at the church one hour prior to the service.
