Lisa R. Harrison
HENDERSON — Lisa R. Harrison, 48, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
She was born in Henderson on Aug. 26, 1965, to Clarence and Marie Ray.
She is survived by her husband, Michael D. Harrison; mother, Marie Ray; brother, Clarence Ray lll (Jeanese); sister, Kimberly Mcneil (Leotis); mother-in-law, Laudell Beard; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Love and Faith Christian Fellowship, 4344 Blackberry Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
Arrangements are by E.C. Terry’s Funeral and Cremation Service.
Frances H. Pridgen
WHITEVILLE — Frances Hinson Pridgen, born March 17, 1930, went home to be with the Lord on May 27, 2014.
She married her sweetheart, Ralph Clayton Pridgen, on Sept. 4, 1948.
She was a devoted farmer’s wife and a cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She accepted the Lord as her Savior on Jan. 20, 1949. She was the cornerstone of her family, whom she loved dearly. She always prayed for her loved ones, calling each one out by name. She had a heart of compassion towards anyone who was in need. Her faith in the Lord was unwavering through all of life’s trials. She was full of wisdom that could only come from above.
She leaves behind her dear husband and their children, Wanda Pridgen Currin and husband Jim of Henderson, Ronald Clayton Pridgen, and Rodney Brent Pridgen and wife Stephanie, all of Whiteville; their grandchildren, Jeremy Pridgen and wife Kristie, Jessica Currin, Christopher Pridgen, Benjamin Pridgen, Candace Pridgen, Tayler Pridgen Allen and husband Quinn, Alexis Pridgen and Grayson Pridgen; and their great-grandchildren, Holland Pridgen, Emilie Pridgen, Swift Pridgen and Avery Allen. She also leaves behind her sister and best friend, Juanita H. Stanley; her dear friends Loris H. McPherson and Betty Fisher; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louvie I. Hinson Sr. and Jessie Boswell Hinson; her brothers, Louvie I. Hinson Jr. and infant Jimmy Hinson; and her sister, infant Ella Mae Hinson.
Serving as active pallbearers are Rodney Brent Pridgen, Jeremy Pridgen, Christopher Pridgen, Benjamin Pridgen, Donald Pridgen and Ronald Fisher. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Grayson Pridgen and Holland Pridgen.
Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. At other times, the family will be at her home, at 1004 Lawrence Tedder Road, Whiteville.
Final rites will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel in Chadbourn with the Rev. Robert E. Greene Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery on Lawrence Tedder Road in Whiteville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (Greater Carolinas Chapter), 3101 Industrial Drive, Suite 210, Raleigh, NC 27609, or Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Care, 206 Warrior Trail Road, Whiteville, NC 28472.

CREEDMOOR — Mary Rose Tillotson Allen died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Fellowship Baptist Church by the Rev. Dan Hill and the Rev. Ellie R. Allen. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the N.C. Division of Services for the Blind, Rehab Center, 309 Ashe St., Raleigh, NC 27606, or to a charity of one’s choice.

HENDERSON — Joseph Howard Cash Sr., 69, of 2839 Southerland Mill Road, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, in a local nursing home.

HENDERSON — Peggy Ann Champion, 80, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 30, in the chapel of Flowers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Middleburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

CREEDMOOR — Benjamin Franklin Murray died Sunday, May 25, 2014, at the home of his daughter.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor by the Rev. Dan Hill.
