Maria Parham Medical Center has earned a national Information Technology leadership award from LifePoint Hospitals.

The Henderson hospital was honored at an annual conference in Nashville, Tenn., in March and on the campus of MPMC earlier this month. The award goes annually to one of 61 LifePoint or Duke LifePoint facilities.

The hospital’s team includes Randy Williams, Mary Mackowski, Cindy Faulkner, Angel Hodges, Valerie Strouse-Bryant, Jessica Davis, Kim Moody, Nicci Franklin and Beth Grissom.

David Dill, president and chief operating officer for LifePoint; Jason Chaffin, LifePoint’s vice president of Clinical Solutions Enablement; and Jeff Seraphine, Eastern Group president, were part of the Henderson recognition. They recognized the hospital for completion of Stage 2 of Meaningful Use, a designation program of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services that recognizes hospitals’ use of technology and electronic health records to advance patient care.

MPMC is one of the first hospitals in the country to reach the designation.
